About:Chinese Jade

i have a set of 18 buddhas on blue old cotton,that i believe are called arhat.my chinese friend bought them from china for me,they are hand carved and definitely jade although not beautiful green,they are icy cold first thing in the morning,and they warm as i handle them.each buddha has a different facial expression.can you tell me their value for insurancer.i am told they are possible 2 or 3 hundred years old.thank you

Yes, they are the Eighteen Arhats.If they are purely soft white color, I mean Hetian jade, they are more precious. No one can tell the value without seeing the jade quality, caving skills, sizes of each figurines, when did you bought it and excatly how old are they. I can give your a reference according to the current price of white Hetian jade.1kg Hetian Jade raw material costs 2 million yuan, the top grade Hetian jade I mean. So, even if they are but top jade, jade price now is very hight. If they are items from the Qing Dynasty which is 2-3 hundreds years ago, wow, I can't tell the price then.
