About:Embassy & Consulates of Malaysia in China

I am a Malaysian. Recently my spouse went Shanghai for work. I would like to ask that, he holds work visa, and if i would like to go with him, i can hold a work visa (as his family member who accompanying him to shanghai) as well is it?Then, can i work part time in Shanghai? How to get a work permit there if i work part time there?

Yes, you can apply for a Z visa accompanying his Z visa. To apply this you should provide a visa notification issued by the authorized Chinese unit or proof of kinship, e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc., and a copy of the Z-visa as well as Residence Permit. However, according to the regulation, you are not allowed to work on this visa.
