what route would you advise from Pingyao to Wutaishan, then from Wutaishan to Datong.The bus/ and or train number would be a helpThanks

From Pingyao, you could take train K604 (18:46~00:04) or 1164 (21:49~03:09) to Wutaishan directly. However, I think you'd better hire a car to Wutaishan. The journey is about 330km only.And, there are two coaches departing from Wutainshan to Datong everyday, taking about 4 hours. If you miss the bus, only cab could be used.
