About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

Good monirnig, my name is STEFANO FANARA
I am writing you to ask a big help, I need to know if I need a transit visa to cross China or if I can avoid it !
I am sending the flight itinerary as follow:

24 DIC 10 - FRIDAY
DEP. BOLOGNA 0715 AIRLINE AIR FRANCE AF1029
ARR. PARIS DE GAULLE 0900
PART PARIS DE GAULLE 1115 AIRLINE CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES CZ348
25 DIC 10 - SATURDAY
ARR. GUANGZHOU 0550
DEP. GUANGZHOU 0840 AIRLINE CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES CZ3055
ARR . YANGON 1030

08 GEN 11 - SATURDAY
DEP. YANGON 1120 AIRLINE CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES CZ3056
ARR. GUANGZHOU 1550
08 GEN 11 - SATURDAY
DEP. GUANGZHOU 2310 AIRLINE CHINA SOUTHERN AIRLINES CZ783 operated by Air France
09 GEN 11 - SUNDAY
ARR. PARIS DE GAULLE 0610
DEP. PARIS DE GAULLE 0945 AIRLINE AIR FRANCE AF1528
ARR. BOLOGNA 1125
As you can see both itineraries have a stop in Chinese airport Guangzhou, I am not going out the airport but I will stay in the transit area. IS IT TRUE I CAN have Apassport control? dO I HAVE TO SHOW my return ticket to Myanmar with my tourist visa for Myanmar or do I need a transit visa for China ?
I do really need to get secure information otherwise please explain me what is best thing to do.

I look forward to receiving your reply as soon as possible.

Best regards
Stefano Fanara

A foreign national who is transiting China by international flight is exempted from applying for a visa only give that he or she is remained in the airport not exceeding 24 hours and has valid air ticket to connect flight with confirmed seating.
