Hi,i will be going to beijing (mutianyu great wall) coming end of this december. wonder if the train service will be available during this time? which one is more convenient?..by bus or train to Mutianyu Great Wall?Thanks.

No train to Mutianyu. Or you mean Badaling? You have to take bus from Dongzhimen to Huairou (936 or 916) and then shift another bus or taxi taxi to Mutianyu then.
