Will be going to Kunming, Dali, Lijiang and Shangri-la from 22-30 November. Must I wear thermal wear?  Is it too cold to wear skirt with tights (denier80) and of course with jacket on.

7 -17 appears to be for Kunming. How about Shangrila and Lijiang

You have no need to wear thermal clothes. Temperature may be about 7~17C in Nov. You can wear sweater and jacket, plus one overcoat in case cold at night.
