Dear sirI am a resident of Sri Lanka and would like to go and visit a friend in Hong Kong. From there I would like to visit Shanghai on my own just for four days.What should I do?Thank you SincerelyS.Paul

You need apply for Hong Kong visit visa and China visa, however, the China embassy in Sri Lanka doesn't accept individual tourist visa application to China, you have to join a tour and obtain a group tourist visa to Shanghai, China.
