About:Marriage Registration in China

I'm a US Citizen here in New Jersey, USA. My fiancee is in Guangzhou. I would like to know if I need to have my birth certificate notarized\authenticated before I go there to marry her in China. Let me know soon, thanks.

You need to have your birth certificate authenticated before you go to Guangzhou. Sometimes, the officer at Civil Affairs Bureau ask foreigners to provide Birth Certificate for marriage registration.

Do I need to have my original birth certificate notarized\certified? Or just authenticated only by the Chinese Consulate here? Thanks for replying back before.

You need to have your original birth certificate certified by Secretary of the State Office and authenticated by Chinese consulate in New York.
