About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

My passport was issued in 1998 and the expiry date is 2018. I am not getting the business visa saying it should be for 10 years .Is it true?

Do you mean that you don't get a China business visa because your passport doesn't valid for 10 years? I don't think it is a reasonable reason, your passport is Ok for applying China business visa.

my passport was issued in1998 and it is valid upto 2018 as it was not issued within the last ten years.Am i elligble for china business visa

Mrs.tanuja, if the China embassy/consulate in India said that your passport is not qualified to apply for China visa, you have to renew your passport, We can't bargain with the embassy/consulate which has the full right to issue China visa or not.
