yes it is close to tianhe shopping centre.but most wholesale markets are located around railwaystation,yes you can find Halalfood from the restaurant named Nur bostan, right behind the times square.restaurant add;广州市天河北路，天河首层北7号铺（时代广场友谊商店后面）behind the times square, at tianhe roadhave a nice time to stay in china
