My boyfriend and I are flying Madrid-Melbourne and have a stop over in Pekin for 7 hours,then directly to Melbourne.We would like to visit the forbidden city etc on the stop over in Pekin. Can we leave the airport with out a transit visa? I hold an Australian and Spanish passport and my boyfriend has only a Spanish passport. Thank you very much!!

You can't leave the airport without a transit visa. Please apply for a China transit visa in advance.
