Yes, arranged marriages still exist in some remote areas or minority groups. This is an ancient marriage system. The parents has the right to arrange the marriage of their children. It is resonable in old times. Girls at that time had rare or even no chance to go out and participate social activities. The old tradition should not exit in present free and civilized world, but still exist in some region.2
