About:China Visa

Hi,

I brought my Indonesian maid along to Suzhou due to my relocation. She is on L visa and can stay for only 3 months. Is there any other way I can extend her visa?
1) Can she get the visa from China embassy in Jakarta through mail?
2) If yes, possible to get 1 year visa?
3) I read from your forum that china visa can be obtained from Hong Kong. Can I have more details?

1) She can't get the visa from China embassy in Jakarta through mail.
2) Yes, you can apply for a China visa in Hong Kong, but you generally get short-term tourist visa permitting 30 days stay duration.

Tips: You can go to Suzhou Exit & Enter Department to apply for visa extension for your Indonesian maid. It is not easy to get a long term visa or residence permit for her because she is just a maid.
