i'm going to guangzhou in september 2011 for 4 days trip.which place do you suggest to visit for first timer travellers like us and which hotel do you suggest to stay that is near to the attraction venue and shopping venue?what type of product that is popular in guangzhou that sell at cheap or reasonable price to buy as souveniers?

Personally, I recommend you stay in Shangxiejiu or Beijing Street area, not far from Haizhu Square which means easy transportation from the airport and wholesale markets in Haizhu Square to buy souveniers. Holiday Inn Shifu (4 star), Lido (3 star) Hotels are all nice places to stay. I have no idea about your budget on accomodation.
