About:Chinese Embassy in UAE

Hi
I am a british passport holder on a visit visa in uae , based in dubai.

I would like to travel to china from 11/12th Nov--until 20th November. I want to book a flight/tour but do not wnat to go ahead unless i am able to get a visa,.
Please advise me on what i should do?
I am based in Dubai and would be happy to vist embassy on Mon 8/11/2010 if its possible?
How much will it copst and what is required of me?

You are required UAE resident visa valid for more than 6 months. (Excluding GCC applicants) and A No-objection letter from the your company stating your position, monthly or yearly salary if you want to apply China visa there. The return ticket is not a must. The fee for a single entry visa is about AED 110.
