Hi I am visiting shanghai in feb for 10 days, my brother lives there so will be staying with him, my question is what would be the best way to visit pandas &  teracotta soldiers.without doubling up on country seen. Train, fly?????  I want to end up in Phuket and fly home from there after 4 days or so holidaying extra.

You can asked your brother to buy the train ticket for you in advance from Shanghai-Xian trip. Take airplane from Xian to Chengdu and book ticket in advance. Can not avoid crowded people for the Spring festival. Better to travel later that month.
