About:China Customs Declaration

I want to send a second-hand digital camera as a gift to a friend in China. What is the customs duty? The value is about $300.

Usually the duty rate is 20 percent. For a digital camera, the price is fixed to be 2000RMB by the custom, that is to say the tax is 400rmb. Write clear that it is second hand. Somtimes, for the sake of shipping company or second hand, no duty charged maybe.
