About:Chinese Embassy in UAE

My husband and I are wanting to go to China (Bejing only) over Eid break from 15th - 20th Nov 2010. We both live in Dubai and hold Dubai work visa however I am an Australian citien and he is a British citizen. Could you please advise what documents we require for short visit/tourist visa and how long it takes/the cost? many thanks, K

The requirements are as follows:
1. Original passport with blank visa pages and validity of more than 6 months;
2. UAE resident visa valid for more than 6 months. (Excluding GCC applicants);
3. Application Form which must be completed neatly and signed by the applicant;
4. One passport photo;
5. Copies of the data pages of the applicant's passport and UAE resident visa.
6. A No-objection letter from the applicant's company stating his or her position ,monthly or yearly salary.
The visa processing takes 4 working days in general and visa fee is about AED 110.
