About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Hello, I'm staying in Japan as a exchange student and hold a one-year visa. From Dec.21 until Jan.10 I would like to visit my friend in Beijing. Can I apply for the Visa in Japan? If yes, which documents do I need? I plan to stay with my friend so is it okay not to have a hotel reservation?
Thank you in advance

Yes, you can apply for China tourist visa in Japan, the requirements are: your passport, one passport photo, fill one visa application form, original and photocopy of one year Japan visa, you don't need to provide the hotel reservation for visa application, you'd better prepare the invitation letter from your friend and the copy of his passport and Chinese residence visa.
