Hi, we're going to Chengdu on 3rd Dec. Pls let us know how  to go to Xiling mountain from Chengdu. Are there public buses,  and how far is xiling from Chengdu?Are there hotels near the mountain if we intend to stay overnight?

Hi,  there is direct bus at 08:30 from Chengdu Jinsha Bus Station to Xiling Mountain. It goes back to Chengdu at 14:00. Or you can take bus from Jinsha Bus Station to Xiling Town and then take the ropeway to Xiling Mountain. The bus departs at 09:00, 10:00, 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00. It is about 100km from Chengdu to Xiling.There is a few simple hotel in Xiling. I advise you to go to Huashuiwan Town which is about 25km from the mountain to find a hotel.
