About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

I arrived in China in Sept. on a 2 entry 90 day tourist visa. I will leave in December and have 3 months left when I return. I have found an employer that will offer me a work contract so that I can apply for a work visa here and stay longer. I have read in some posts on other sites that I would now have to return to UK and go to Chinese embassy to obtain the work visa. Is it still possible to go to HK or another country outside of China to obtain it or do I need to go back to UK? I would also like to know if I do have to fly back to UK, is it viable to go to HK and apply for another tourist visa when my current one expires in March. Thanks for you help!

yes, you have to return to Uk and go to Chinese embassy to apply for Work Visa. It is impossible for you to go to Hk or another country outside of China to obtain it. There is a visa notification form for China work visa application, on this form, it will write you need to go to China embassy/consulate in Uk to apply for visa.

It is possible for you to apply for another tourist visa in Hong Kong if your current one expires in March. However, once your find a job, you need to apply for work visa, you can't work in China on a tourist visa
