About:Guilin Travel

Hi Im planning a trip to Guilin in March 2011. Would it be safe to go for free & easy? Do people in Gulin speaks Spore-Mandarin? When I previously visit China, the tour coach drove long distances from one place to another. If we travel F&E, how do we best travel around?

It is safe to travel in Guilin, since it is a well developed scenic area in China. The people can speak Mandarin. If you go on your own, you can take local transport like bus and taxis to move around. Well, you may refer to this website's Guilin Tours(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/package/guilin.htm) , in which some related transportation between scenic spots are included.

Thanks My Jamie for the prompt reply. Because Im bringing my parents (about 60 years old) - so a little concern they may not be able to walk for too long and if its cumbersome to change buses every now and then. Any hotel recommendation? 3-4 stars will do. Is it a good period (weather etc.)to travel in early April?
