About:Longji Rice Terraces

my family of 4 will be going to guilin in jan 2011. i would like to find out if i m able to stay at the zhuang for a couple of days? how much will it costs? does the people friendly & welcome tourist? & i would like to know if jan is a good month to visit guilin?

Yes, possible to live in the Zhuang village when you visit the Dragon Back Terraces. They are not local families, but some hostels or homestay for tourists there. People are friendly there, but I didn't stay there, so have no idea about the price. Jan is not a good time to visit Guilin. That is the coldest month and scenery is not so good. I suggest you go in Spring, late April.
