Do you need reservations first in order to purchase D-train tickets from Shanghai to Beijing in early November?Do they accept credit cards at the English ticket window at Hongqiao Railroad Station or Shanghai Railroad Station? I note ticket vending machines only accept cash.  Do they have machines in English?I look forward to your response.  Thanks.

Mostly you need to book train ticket in advance since it might be uneasy to get a ticket on the spot.They don't accept credit card at railway stations, only cash acceptable.Yes, these D-train ticket vending machines do have English version. You could use them easily~Good luck!
