If you apply for China visa from Mumbai, you need to submit visa application to Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) in Mumbai, then Pay visa and service fees when collecting passport and visa, only cash is accpeted by the CVASC, if you apply for Hong Kong visa or Macau visa or Diplomatic/Service/Courteous Visa, then you need to submit visa application to consulate in Mumbai, make demand draft to 'Consulate of China-Mumbai'
