Hi, im vistiing my friend who study in Beijing. As such, i will be staying over at his place during the trip. What kind of documentation is needed for visa application if i cant provide the local hotel add?Can i legally stay at his accomodation during the trip?Thanks!

You can legalley stay at his accomodation during the trip, the copy of his China Residence Permit, Student Visa and his passport are required if you don't want to provide Hotel Booking. The other requirements are your passport, one passport photo, one truthly filled visa application form and round-trip flight tickets.
