About:Defensive Wall Structure of China Great Wall

Were there any women on site during the construction?

The main force is men. But there was the occasion that women built some of it.
I know a story: 12 soliders died when building the wall. To commenmorate them, their wives build a tower on the wall, which is called 'The widow's Tower'. It is in Huangyaguan Pass in Tianjin.
