About:China Postal Service

Hi, I've had 2 letters sent to me in Shanghai from Quebec, Canada. One was sent on Oct 3rd and arrived on Oct 18th. The other one was sent 2 days before on Oct 1st and hasn't arrived yet. They both are sent to the same address and zip code but the one that already arrived also added "Xuhui District". The other one did put 200030 but didn't write "Xuhui District". Could this be a problem or a reason why it hasn't arrived yet? It's a very important letter. What's the longest I should wait before asking the person to send the letter again? Thanks.

Do you write the full address or just Xinhui District. Generally, if you write complete address, post code is not important. So, you may wait another day or try to trace the letter.

The full address including the zip code 200030 is written except for "xuhui district" which is not written.

Can I try to trace the letter if it isn't a registered letter or ems? I was sent by regular method.

It is not a matter if you didn't write Xuhui District. I am afarid you can not trace. You can ask your fiends in Shanghai to check it out in Xuhui Post Office, on the other hand, you can check in your side.
