About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

i am living in thailand (krabi) and am going to shanghai in november. Would like to know if I have to come to embassy in bangkok myself to apply for a visa, or if I can send my documents and passport by recommeded mail?

Visa Application by mail is not accepted by China embassy in Bangkok, if you can't come to embassy in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to drop off your application at the visa office of the embassy.
