As this this my first trip to Guangzhou n will be there for 3 nites would u recommend me places to visit and shop. thanks

Hi，you can visit Yuexiu Park, White Cloud Mountain and Lianhua Mountain in Guangzhou, you can check some Guangzhou Tour Itineraries(https://www.travelchinaguide.com/package/guangzhou.htm) for your reference.

For shopping place, you can go to Shangxiajiu Lu Pedestrian Street or Beijing Lu Pedestrian Street, also you can go to wholesale markets in Guangzhou for goods.
