Being in Beijing, can I buy tickets for travel from Shanghai to Guilin or I have to be in Shanghai? Also, Shanghai to Guilin tickets would I be able to get tickets 2 days before departure soft sleeper? First week on November. Thank you

As Shanghai is the starting station for the train from Shanghai to Guilin, you could buy the train tickets at Beijing Train Station around 10 days in advance. Or, you could book it online directly.
