About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hi, I am planning on travelling to china as a tourist and I will be applying for my visa in Hong Kong. Can I get more than 30 days? I would like 60days in total, is this possible or do I have to do the extension which I know can be a bit of a hassle.

Also do I have to have an onward flight ticket when applying for the visa because I will be leaving by train through Russia, therefore I do not have an onward ticket yet.

Thanks
Lisa

Generally, the visa validity for tourist is 30 days, but it can be extended twice from local PSB in China. And the train ticket is ok.

To apply for a visa in HK they require the onward ticket. So, better prepare for it in advance.

I do not have any onward ticket, no train ticket either. Do I have to have an onward ticket to apply for a visa?
