About:Visa Policy of China

Hello, I am hoping someone can give me some help on the following: My mother has come to visit me in China. I am here working and have a Z-visa, and she was issued a double entry 6 month visa in August. New regulations require people with L visa's to leave the country after 90 days. So once we enter, and leave again my mother will not be able to enter again unless she gets her visa renewed. We can do a one month renewal here where we live in Dalian, but she wants to get a 6 month visa. We will be in Malaysia in Jan / Feb 2011, do you know if it is possible to get a Chinese L visa at the Chinese Embassy there? And if so, how long does it take? Even better, is there a way for her to renew and get a 6 month visa here in China? Any hep would be much appreciated :)

It is difficult to apply for a China visa in Malaysia if you do not have residence permit or work visa there. Here I recommend to send the application back to Canada, let your family to handle a new visa for your mom. And then, send it to you when you are in Malaysia.
