About:Embassy & Consulates of Philippines in China

Hope you can help me. I worked in china for 3 years, despite of my visa L & F (regularly extended) by my employer (year 2003-2006). I have a pending petition of my wife in the USA and I am required to submit police clearance from China. As per regulation in China, they cannot issue police clearance for F and L visa holder. What shall I do?

You may try to ask US embassy whether they can accept an explaination about that. You can not get a police clearance from China in this case.

I just want to share experience of mine. I was able to get police clearance with the help of translator who i hired(quite expensive but worth it). I also asked the help of the manager of my previous employment, atlast we were able to convince the chief of police to issue clearance, notarized with the local notary public bureau, then went to beijing for authentication from China Ministry of foreign affairs, finally the Philippine embassy in Beijing. The whole process took me 10 working days.

Goodluck!
