We are coming to Shanghai on a holiday on 31st Oct. We would like to book our train tickets on Nov 1 from Shanghai to Beijing on the D train or T train for travel arnd 3-4 Nov. Will the Soft seat be available for booking 2 days before travel date ?

How do we go about booking the tickets if I do not want to do it via an agent.

Is it easy booking at the Hongqiao Railway station considering that I only know English.

Are the ticket vending machines available for outstation trains ?
