About:China Visa on Arrival

I am planning to go Shanghai to attend the conference organised by ADBI/AFDC/ABAC, Financial Inclusion: Trends, Challenges and Policies, 20-22 October, Shanghai, P.R.China as an official passport holder of Bangladesh. Is it necessary to get the visa from the embassy of China in Bangladesh?
Please let me know the position of visa affairs.
