About:Yunnan Travel

We would like to travel to Yunnan during Chinese New Year period in Feb 2011. Can you advise me if it would be crowded with locals/ tourists? and if the shops will be closed for the holiday? Thank you

Hi, there may be croweds with locals and tourists. Some shops will be closed for the holiday, while the others will still be open.

The shops might be closed on the last day of Chinese Lunar Year and the following 3-4 days, but they would be opened soon. And the street might be crowded, I think it is a good time to enjoy the Chinese Festival.
