About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

I am a EU passport holder in transit through Shanghai on my way home from S.Korea. My transit will be less than 24hrs. Can you visit outside the airport area for the hours I am in transit?

if you want to go out the airport, then you need to apply for a transit visa.

You are required to apply for a visa if you need go outside the airport. and you can also apply for a one day stay permit at the Shanghai Border Defence Station.
