me and my family are travelling to hongkong on the 15 oct- we had thought of taking a visa for shenzen- but now due to the holidays we might not be able to get it on time- is there any way i can get visa for shenzen in hongkong?

You can apply for a China visa to Shenzhen in Hong Kong, the Commissioner's Office of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong is only closed on October 1 (Friday).

However, you still have a chance to get a China visa in India, The China embassy is closed from October 1 to October 7, but it resumes to work on October 8, it takes 4 working days for visa processing, you can get your visa on October 13 (Wednesday)
