About:China Transit Visa

I will be having a 22 hrs stop over at Baiyun, China on Dec. 23, 2010 going to Philippines. I would like to spend that time outside the airport to explore the city. I would like to know where i can get a visa and what type of visa i would need.

Thank you for your immediate reply.
