I am traveling to Taiwan in Nov or Dec and have learned about a cosco ferry service to Xiamen from Jilong/Keelung or Gaoxiong/Kaohsiung. Is this a good and reliable route? What is the one-way cost and schedule?

From Xiamen, I wish to travel to Shantou. Is the train faster than the bus from Xiamen to Shantou? What is the one-way fare and the schedule?
