About:Datong Attractions

This is going to be my first visir to Datong. How many days do I need to visit Nine-dragon Screen, Yungang Grottoes, Hanging Monastery, Mt. Hengshan, Yanmenguan Pass and Wooden Pagoda? Between Mt.Hengshan and Mt.Wutaishan, which is nicer place to visit due to time constrain?
As I'll be coming from Beijing, which is a better mode of transport to Datong - by air/train/bus? Thank you.

About 3-4 days.
The Hanging Monastry was built on the Mt. Hengshan. If you'll visit the monastry, you will not miss Mt.Hengshan.
Wutaishan is a little far from Datong, it is a buddha scenic spot and a good place to avoid summer hot. If you have more time, you can go there too. These two places have different atmosphere.
From Bejing to Datong, you can either by bus(about 4 hours and rmb100)or train(about 6 hours and a soft sleeper is about rmb160). I do not recommend by air, it's expensive.
