About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

My family(4 Singaporeans) and one Phillipines friend, will be visiting Hainan Island in November 2010. We bought the air tickets and will be visiting relatives in Hainan island for 7days.
This phillipines friend is currently in Singapore working as domestic helper(maid).

I would like to know, the visa requirement for my Phillipines friend.
1) Does she need to apply for the China tourist visa to visit Hainan island.
Or
2)She can be considered as part of the tour group of five visiting Hainan, which does not require any visa?

Thanks.

Your Philippines friend doesn't need a China tourist visa to visit Hainan Island if you can provide that you 5 people have joined international tourist group organized by any of the registered travel agencies in Hainan Province which is approved by China National Tourism Administration and stay up to 21 days.

The invitation letter from any of the registered travel agency in Hainan province is required.

Otherwise, Your philippines friend needs to apply for a tourist visa to Hainan.
