I am going to Jiuzhaigou on 12 October, I would like to ask if it's ok to travell by road from Chengdu at that time?

Yes it should be ok to travel by road. Sometimes if it rains a lot there can be some land slides but it should be safe.

The weather in mid-October can be cold in the mornings but during the day time should be fine. If it is sunny it will be hot, if it is cloudy it could be a little chilly.
