About:China Transit Visa

Hi,
I have a 15 hr stopover at pudong airport on my return flight to sydney.i want to explore the city in that time.do i need to apply for a visa, as i would be going out of the airport? also, is there a facility of lockers at the airport where i can leave my carry on baggage?

You need to apply for a transit visa if you want to leave the airport. Or, you just can apply for a one day Stay Permit at Shanghai General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection.

There is luggage check counters in the airport where you can keep your baggage.
