You need to apply for a China visa in India through the Chinese visa Application Service Center in New Delhi or Mumbai, however, if you live in the State of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal, you need to go to Consulate General of China in Kolkata to apply for China visa.
