About:China Train

I posted earlier but afraid it may go into the Beijing room as preset. I am planning a trip around the Nationals and need some information before departure:
1) Is it possible to get a seat or sleeper around National Days if I buy the ticket during day of departure or just 1 day earlier ?
2) Normally which will sell off first? Soft sleeper, hard sleeper, soft seat or hard seat?
3) Is hard seats ticket have numbered seats or free-seating? Will they sell any standing room tickets if seats are full?

It is hard to say which kind of seats will be sold out first. But usually soft sleepers are not that hot. And the hard seats are not free seating. There will be standing-room tickets on sale once the hard seats are fully booked. What’s more, tickets are under even great demand during the holidays. Thus, you would better purchase the tickets in advance.
