About:China Visa

Hi there, I´ve already applied for a F Visa to China in Chile with 2 entries. The guy in the embassy told me that we can not apply 2 entry because the expiration date in the passport is less than 7 months from the first entry (will be middle october 2010) (passport expire in April 2011). Finally I applied for 1 entry visa but I need 2 entries. My idea is to apply for a new Visa in Hong Kong for my second entry, but I don´t know if is possible apply for a Visa with a passport that will expire in less than 7 months.
Can you help me?. Is better to get a new passport?
Thank you very much

When you apply for a new China visa in Hong Kong for your second entry, your passport must have at least 6 months validity, otherwise, your application will be denied
