We are two adults and two children going to Beijing mid Oktober, we would like to visit the Wall, and walk on it, spending a whole day. We do not mind walking. From where should we visit the Wall, i did plan on the jinshanling-simatai walk, but I just read that they have closed Simatai. Any suggestions ?Thank a lotRegardsMichael

Last year in mid-october, the leaves around Badaling Great Wall has turned red and the scenery there was so amazing. Maybe you can try this year. But it was too crowded there. If you do not like the crowds, then try Mutianyu, it was the second famous section of the wall.
