About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a student who arrived 9/9 from USA on an X Visa. I am hoping to stay until 7/20. I received my "Registration Form of Temporary Residence" from the local police station, but they put down my date of departure as October 8, 2010. Will this be okay for my application for Temporary Residency Permit?

Also, there is a major holiday from 10-1 to about 10-8. My X Visa gives me 30 days, which will expire by then. I'm afraid they probably won't be able to complete the application by then. Is this okay?

please don't worry, it is ok. I understand that your X visa only permits you to stay for China for 30 days, and you have to get the Temporary Residence Permit, now, you have got the Registration Form of Temporary Residence from the local police station and it expires on 8st October 2010, if the police station can't issue you the Temporary Residence Permit, its his fault and responsibility.

Hi,

I am going to school here for a year. The school should be handling applying for the Temporary Residence Permit, but they are being slow. I'm just hoping there are no consequences for their taking their time.

1.X visa can be changed to the Tourist visa for one month.
2.if you have the employer in beijing, we can help you change your X visa to the Z workong visa for 1 year.
